Memphis, one of America’s great cities, fell into a downward spiral during the COVID pandemic, violent crime surged, businesses fled, and families feared for their safety. And if anything was going to change, it was going to require a Tennessee solution: empowering law enforcement to do their jobs. As I could see that President Trump would return to office, and that I’d be serving in the Senate Majority, I went to work bringing together federal, state, and local law enforcement, giving them the resources and the support that they needed to take back our streets.
