NASHVILLE, TN – Today US Senator Bill Hagerty announced his re-election bid for United States Senate:
“I am pleased to announce my candidacy for re-election to the United States Senate. It has been the honor of my lifetime to serve the men and women of Tennessee, and I am committed to the fight for our shared values, our freedoms, and the future of our great state and nation.
“As a businessman, former U.S. Ambassador to Japan, and now your Senator, I have always put Tennessee first. During President Donald J. Trump's first term, I was honored to serve in his Administration and witness firsthand the impact of his America First agenda. His leadership delivered record-low unemployment, stronger borders, and a booming economy—results that benefited Tennesseans and Americans alike. I stood with President Trump then, and I remain committed now to advancing the policies that put hardworking Americans and Tennesseans first.
“In the Senate, I have worked tirelessly to protect Tennessee's conservative values and deliver results for our state. My lifelong business experience, which gave me firsthand exposure to the crippling overreach of the administrative state, provides unique perspective to the critical debates and lawmaking that takes place in the Senate. I’ve fought to secure our southern border, support our small businesses, strengthen our national security, and ensure Tennessee’s voice is heard in Washington.
“There is more work to be done. Our nation faces an unprecedented set of challenges from lingering inflation, threats from adversaries like the Chinese Communist Party, and efforts to undermine the values that make America the most exceptional nation in the history of the world.
“Tennessee needs a strong, conservative voice in the Senate—one that fights for lower taxes, energy independence, secure borders, and the rule of law. I am running for re-election to continue delivering on these priorities and to ensure that President Trump’s America First agenda succeeds in his second term and beyond.
“Together, we can build on the progress we’ve made and keep Tennessee and America great. I humbly ask for your support, your prayers, and your vote in the upcoming election. Please join me in this fight for the future our children and grandchildren deserve—a future where the Volunteer State and our great nation remain strong, prosperous, and free.”
Hagerty enters re-election having raised nearly $9 million for his campaign during this cycle. Notably, Hagerty’s campaign has been completely debt-free since prior to the November 2024 election. Hagerty’s small dollar fundraising prowess has resulted in nearly $2.5 million in contributions less than $200. These donations were generated from 183,872 individual donations averaging $13.48 per donation.
Hagerty’s campaign finance team will be spearheaded by Tennessee’s Steve Smith, who has chaired Hagerty’s finance operation since his first campaign for Senate in 2020. Together, Hagerty and Smith have built a formidable finance committee to support Hagerty’s re-election that includes more than 100 of Tennessee’s most active conservative donors.
“Bill Hagerty is the best of Tennessee,” said Steve Smith. “He has been a job creator, an entrepreneur, and an outstanding representative for us in his first Senate term. He is unmatched in his ability and his desire to make the most of this critical moment in our nation’s history to deliver on the promises the American people are demanding at the ballot box. He is my friend, and in the coming days, we are going to see a massive wave of support from his friends all across Tennessee who will see him through to re-election. I’m proud to support Bill and I cannot wait to see him sworn in again as our U.S. Senator.”
Hagerty is also announcing today that he will be traveling throughout Tennessee in the coming weeks to hold campaign and finance events that will demonstrate his unmatched support throughout the Volunteer State and its three grand divisions.
Hagerty’s re-election will be supported by the most talented individuals Tennessee and our nation has to offer.
